Molotow Blackline Pens on Stonehenge Paper.
This drawing was inspired by Piet Mondrian's use of plaid-like patterns. My goals with this piece were to take the idea of plaid and see how it could be used differently while also drawing inspiration from artists like CAFE, AKER47, and LANCE to challenge my lettering styles and abilities. As the drawing progressed, my goal was to push the density of the patterns further in some areas to create more depth and texture. I feel successful in creating an artwork rooted in the more classical influence of Piet and the modern graffiti influence of CAFE and others.

Texture/Line Weight Project. Molotow Blackline Pens on Paper. My goal with this project was to challenge my mark making abilities while creating something that played to my strengths. The bold lines break the composition into sections of different textures and line weights. This project was inspired by artists like CAFE, Opium One, and AKER47.
